  • Intuit QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll, Enhanced Payroll Plus and Enhanced Payroll for Accountants subscribers: E-File & Pay updates are available for QuickBooks. For a complete list of e-file and e-payments available in QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll, click here.
  • Intuit QuickBooks Assisted Payroll: E-File & Pay from within QuickBooks is not available for Assisted customers as Intuit files tax forms and makes your tax payments as part of the service.

Important information for this release:

  • E-File & Pay through QuickBooks is a Beta feature for some agencies.

Note: When a feature is in Beta it means that it is a nearly complete prototype that is being offered to our customers for use and testing. We hope that our customers will try this Beta feature and give us feedback so we can make it better.

  Form 940 e-filings
E-file for Annual Form 940/Schedule A, Employer’s Annual Federal Unemployment (FUTA) Tax Return, has been updated.
  E-file for Annual Form 940/Schedule A, for Reporting Agents (available for Enhanced Payroll for Accountants payroll subscribers only), Employers Annual Federal Unemployment (FUTA) Tax Return, has been added.
  Note: Form 940 e-filings will be accepted by the agency for Tax Year 2013 filings starting January 6, 2014.
   
  Form W-2/W-3 e-filings
E-file for Form W-2/W-3, Wage and Tax Statement/Transmittal, has been updated.
 

Note: Form W-2/W-3 e-filings will no longer be accepted by the agency for Tax Year 2012. Forms for Tax Year 2013 will be accepted on December 26, 2013 for processing in mid to late January 2014.
