  Summary of Tax Table Updates
 
  • Important Reminder:  Additional Medicare Tax is still in effect for tax year 2015.  You must have the Medicare Employee Addl Tax payroll item set up on high wage earners. Please refer to the details in the tab titled Tax Table.
  • This tax table includes new Federal withholding tables, and new Non-resident Alien withholding tables.
  • This tax table includes a new wage limit for Social Security taxes.
  • This tax table includes new withholding tables for: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Missouri, and Oregon.
  • An action is required for the following states: Connecticut, Maryland, and North Carolina.
  • This tax table includes other changes for: Alaska, California, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wyoming.

  Summary of Tax Forms Updates
 
  • For Enhanced Payroll for Accountants payroll subscribers, this Payroll Update includes federal forms that were updated: Forms 940 for Reporting Agents & Schedule A (Form 940 for Reporting Agents), and Form 944 for Reporting Agents & Form 945A for Reporting Agents.
  • For Standard and Enhanced payroll subscribers, this Payroll Update includes federal forms that were updated: Forms 940 & Schedule A (Form 940), Forms 943 & Form 943A, Form 944 & Form 945A, Form W-2 & Form W-2c, and Form W-3 & Form W-3c.
  • Note: In November, the federal government determined that there are 8 credit reduction states for 2014. A .012 (1.2%) reduction rate is listed for California, Kentucky, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, and U.S. Virgin Islands. A .015 (1.5%) reduction rate is listed for Indiana, and a .017 (1.7%) reduction rate is listed for Connecticut.   • For Enhanced payroll subscribers, this Payroll Update includes a state form that was added for the following state: Connecticut.
  • For Enhanced payroll subscribers, this Payroll Update includes state forms that were updated for the following states: Arizona, Colorado, District of Columbia, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
  • For Enhanced payroll subscribers, this Payroll Update includes state forms that were removed for the following states: Connecticut, Idaho, and North Carolina.

  • For payroll subscribers E-File & Pay, this update includes updated e-filing options for the following: Form 941, Form 940/Schedule A, and Form W-2/W-3.
  • For E-File & Pay, this update includes new e-filing options for the following: Ohio.
