Payroll Update 21708 for QuickBooks 2014

QuickBooks Desktop 2014 Services and Support Discontinuation Notice

Live technical support and other services — including QuickBooks Payroll Services — will be discontinued for QuickBooks Desktop 2014 on May 31, 2017. If you are using QuickBooks Desktop 2014 and would like to continue to use your QuickBooks Payroll service, you will need to upgrade to a newer version of QuickBooks. If you do not upgrade before May 31, 2017, you can expect:

  • Your payroll tax calculations will be incorrect.
  • You will be unable to send payroll, including direct deposit.
  • Your payroll subscription will be deactivated.

To avoid interruption to your service and support, purchase and register a newer version of QuickBooks by calling (866) 676-9670 for QuickBooks Desktop Pro and Premier, or (800) 450-7498 for QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.

  Summary of Tax Table Updates
 
  • Important Reminder:  Additional Medicare Tax is still in effect for tax year 2017.  You must have the Medicare Employee Addl Tax payroll item set up on high wage earners. Please refer to the details in the tab titled Tax Table.

  Summary of Tax Forms Updates
 
  • For Enhanced Payroll for Accountants payroll subscribers, this Payroll Update includes a federal form that was updated: Form 941 for Reporting Agents.
  • For Standard and Enhanced payroll subscribers, this Payroll Update includes federal forms that were updated: Forms 941, 941X, & 941-V.
  • For Enhanced payroll subscribers, this Payroll Update includes state forms that were updated for the following states: Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Montana, Nebraska, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, and West Virginia.
  • For Enhanced payroll subscribers, this Payroll Update includes a state form that was removed for the following state: Illinois.

If you use QuickBooks to share your company file over a network, your coworkers can install payroll updates even if they do not have direct access to the Internet. Be sure that each copy of QuickBooks is set with the Share Download option turned on. Click here for more information.
