The following tables list the recommendations and the minimum computer system requirements for ProSeries® Express Edition software when the program is installed for:

The recommended requirements allow ProSeries Express Edition software to run efficiently and should provide a high level of performance. The minimum requirements should provide adequate performance on most computer configurations.

System requirements for stand-alone systems

* Memory requirements. Microsoft memory requirements for Windows Server 2000 and Windows Server 2003 are 128 MB RAM minimum and 256 MB RAM recommended. These memory requirements are just for the server operating system. You should add a minimum of 64 MB RAM per workstation to these figures to improve performance. Adding 128 MB RAM per workstation provides optimal performance.
** Using ProSeries Express Edition on a Windows 98 (second edition) on a server or serving computer is not supported in Tax Year 2005.
